For God does speak—now one way, now another—
though no one perceives it.
In a dream, in a vision of the night,
when deep sleep falls on people
as they slumber in their beds,
he may speak in their ears
and terrify them with warnings,
to turn them from wrongdoing
and keep them from pride,
18 to preserve them from the pit,
their lives from perishing by the sword. (Job 33:14-18)
Father God, we thank you that you desire to see all people saved and come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).
So we ask that you would bless the Muslim peoples during this season of Ramadan. During this time of fasting and searching, let them find the truth of God’s love revealed in Jesus Christ.
Lord, would you soften hearts as well as minds, through your Holy Spirit, so that people are ready to respond to the truth when they encounter you.
Let the irresistible good news of Jesus draw people into a relationship with their heavenly father.
Thank you for the many ways you continue to speak to all of us, even when we do not perceive that it is you. Speak to our Muslim friends in dreams and visions, Lord. Reveal yourself to them and open their eyes to your reality, truth and power.
Thank you for the many Muslim background believers that you have drawn to yourself. Bless and empower them as they plant, water and harvest for your kingdom.
Help us as a church to reach out in love as we see you drawing people to you. Give us gentle boldness as we share and empower us through your Holy Spirit to be your witnesses.
We thank you for the wind of the Holy Spirit that is blowing through the house of Islam. Continue to blow Lord, continue to draw people to your heart, keep encountering people through dreams and visions, so that their souls are preserved from the pit.
We ask this in the name of Jesus, who redeems us from the pit and causes us to be adopted as children of God. Amen.
