The Greatest Love
Father, you are the greatest example of love that there is. You gave us your son Jesus who entered into the mess and brokenness of this world, to die for us.
You call us to respond to you and those around us in love. Sometimes that is hard, especially when we feel hurt by other people. Lord, give us your grace to be able to love as you love.
Pour out your Holy Spirit upon each one of us so that we can forgive those who hurt us and walk in love with those around us. Help us to extend extra grace to those who need it today.
Lord, there are times when we need to show tough love, or we must speak the truth in love. Help us in those moments to demonstrate a Christ-like attitude.
We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Be Faithful
Lord, you have never promised that life would be easy. But you have promised your presence with us through your Holy Spirit. Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you are with us, encouraging, sustaining, and empowering us to stand.
Help us to be obedient to you in the midst of everything we go through. So that we can be faithful, just as you are faithful to us.
We surrender to you, Lord, asking that through our testimony, the world would see your love shining in our lives.
We ask this in the name of our faithful saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
Epiphany
Lord, as epiphany is celebrated today and we remember the arrival of the magi. Give us hearts that desire to worship you.
Reveal to us the depth of your mercy, love and grace so that we might grow and mature as followers of Jesus. Amen

Praying The Word
Lord God, help us to know you with our hearts not just our heads. We can be so busy for you but not really be in love with you.
Help us to remember, repent and return to your Love. Rekindle your love in our hearts today and draw us deeper into intimacy with you. In Jesus name. Amen
Expose our Hearts
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbour, for we are all members of one body. “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
Lord God, we praise you for you are a God of Justice. You are truth and your Spirit searches deep within hearts exposing what is within. Ephesians 4:25-27
